Every book on Sort By Cravings receives a full read-through before we publish a profile. We do not write from publisher summaries, AI-generated content, or secondhand reviews. Our team reads every page.

How We Rate

• Spice Level (0–5): Based on frequency, explicitness, and narrative centrality of intimate content
• Mood Tags: Assigned from direct reading experience, validated against 500+ community reactions
• Trope Labels: Identified from actual plot elements, not marketing copy
• Genre Classification: Based on primary and secondary genre markers within the text
• Pacing Assessment: Evaluated chapter by chapter for reading speed and narrative momentum

Community Validation

Before publishing any profile, we cross-reference our assessment against BookTok discussions, Goodreads reviews, and reader community feedback. This helps us catch blind spots and ensure our tags match how readers actually experience each book.

Independence

Sort By Cravings does not accept paid placements, sponsored rankings, or publisher-influenced ratings. Our recommendations are editorially independent. We use Amazon affiliate links to fund the site, but this never affects which books we recommend or how we rate them.

Updates and Corrections
